Loy Koch

Loy Koch is a Montana native and, for the most part, a locally grown musician. She started playing the violin in her school’s orchestra at age ten and joined the Billings Symphony five years later. She earned a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Montana State University and a Master of Music in Violin Performance degree from Temple University. Her musical studies also led to a summer at the Aspen Music Festival and a year at Indiana University. In addition to performing with the SOR, she also performs as associate concertmaster of the Missoula Symphony.
