Originally from Seattle, Andrea Zomorodian is an active concertizing soprano based in LA performing across the US and abroad. She focuses on oratorio, early music, and studio singing. As an emerging early music specialist, she is lauded for her warm tone, expressivity, and aetherial high notes (“sung with blinding luminosity” -Mark Swed, LA Times).

Recent highlights include: Poulenc Gloria with La Jolla Symphony, Bach St. Matthew Passion with Musica Angelica, Haydn Lord Nelson Mass with Flagstaff Symphony, world tour of Schütz Musikalische Exequien staged by Peter Sellars (including the 2023 Salzburg Festival), a staged version of Bach’s Coffee Cantata with Con Gioia Early Music Ensemble, her solo debut (Peri Quartet) in Schumann Das Paradies with Gustavo Dudamel and the LA Philharmonic, the 2016-2023 world tour of Sellars’ production of Lagrime di San Pietro, and a play about Buxtehude & Bach “Like as the Hart” written by Oliver Mayer. She obtained her Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance magna cum laude from the University of Southern California (2007-2011) and was awarded a Fulbright Fellowship to Vienna, Austria.
